We're receiving reports from many of you about your calls to Comcast - see below.

Comcast is definitely getting the message so keep calling [1] 215-665-1700 (and be polite of course).

Jim

1. I like this video much better than the "kiss me" video.

2. I called CEO Brian Roberts and politely talked with an assistant who admitted they had no available reason for refusing the ad. She claimed to understand that Comcast's behavior looked like a violation of the first Amendment, and she stated that she hoped to have more information on Monday.

Sue

I talked to administrative assistant, Mark Casem. He said they are trying to reach a resolution of the issue. I asked what resolution they were seeking--was it in favor of censoring the ad or broadcasting the ad. He said he didn't know. I told him it is my opinion that the reason the country and the world is in such bad shape is that the media have become the United State's very own Pravda. Then I had to explain to him that Pravda was the official news medium for the Soviet Union. That's what all the corporate media have become here in the US. He thanked me for my opinon.

Jack

I talked to Alicia--I told her I am a comcast customer in albuquerque--a Katrina survivor-and I am so sad that comcast, a company I like and patronize would keep an ad stating true things off of cable. She said I was the 200th caller-and she will lodge the complaint. I felt she was with us.

Edward from TN:

I have just contacted the corporate offices of Comcast and spoke with an "Executive Assistant" regarding their refusal to run your ads regarding extremists in the Armed Forces.

I informed the gentleman that, as a stockholder in Comcast, I am appalled at this act of censorship. I also informed him that I would "dump" my shares if they continue to obstruct the airing of this ad.

Finally, I told him that, as an employee of the State of Tennessee, I would personally contact the Tennessee State Consolidated Retirement Fund and demand that all Comcast stock held by the fund be sold, immediately. I
will also contact my Tennessee State Employee's Association rep about this
and ask that they, too, demand the fund divest itself of all Comcast stock.

Kudos to you all at ImpeachPAC!

Carole:

I spoke with Georgia today (July 25) and she was very cooperative, said this morning was the first time they had even seen the ad about extremists in the military. She also said the lights were going on at their switchboard and they were hearing about this from all over the country.

Matthew:

just called comcast and spoke to sheila a ceo assistant and was told that it was a local network censor and that they were looking into it. at that point i explained to her that i lived in harper woods mi and we all have comcast and all want bush gone and we are more than willing to drop their crappy service unless they run this ad.she told me to call back later on today and that she would have an answer.ps:also said she had received quite a number of calls on this issue.excellent work folks!!!!!lets just keep hammerin away!!!!

Sharon:

Hi. I am not a member of the media, but I am a Comcast customer, and I just contacted their HQ regarding the CT ad on extremists in the military. I spoke with an AA named Julie who took my information. I explained that I am a Comcast customer, and I am upset that Comcast is apparently censoring an ad from ImpeachPAC. I said the information in the ad is factual, and is based on reporting by the NYT on data gathered from the Pentagon and the SPLC. She said they have been receiving calls about the issue this morning, but that it's "the first they've heard of it." I explained that ImpeachPAC sent Comcast the link to the ad on July 18, then signed the contract on July 21 and sent the link to the documentation. She responded that they'd seen the website and reviewed the information. I asked that someone contact me to let me know Comcast's decision about the ad, and she said they would, so I'll keep you posted if I hear back. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Roz:

I called and spoke to Julie - she said that they had just gotten a few calls and were looking into it. She believed that it was the CT office. I told her that I assumed that her office oversaw everything and that they would not block truth from getting to the American people at such an important time as this. She assured me that they were looking into it and that they did not want to do that. I also told her that I was disturbed because I hear that Comcast gives quite a bit of money to Republicans and that's why I never ordered Comcast as a service. She said she did not know of that and would look into it. She seemed very nice and sympathetic to our cause and surprised about the Republican donations. She took my tele and said she would have someone get back to me on this issue.

Nancy:

In response to your request to call Brian Roberts (CT Comcast) because of their seeming censorship of ad re neo-Nazis in military, I called. I spoke with VP Sherry Cox, who says they only learned of the question this morning, and were looking into it. It was a polite and friendly conversation.

Peter:

call was placed @ 0904 cdt... Brian Roberts, ceo was requested... an exec asst came on... he claimed he was just made aware of the issue today and the CT people were looking into it... he was reminded that it had already been an inexcuseabe length of time which given the timming ammounted to censorship of a political add in a contested race for the US Senate and they were aiding and abetting the probabale loser...

Zora:

Mine was the 12th call. Roberts away on business. They're looking into it. Person, an executive assistant, is looking into it. She claims they didn't know anything about it until the 1st call came in.

Robert:

called comcast, spoke with mark caseman(sp?), about censoring impeach neo-nazi ad, and he said, comcast has received many phone calls this morning about that issue, and they are re-examining their position.

Robert:

I tried to contact Brian Roberts at the number given, which is a Philadelphia mumber. I spoke with one of his assistants and I asked why the ImpeachPac ad was being censored in Conn. and that I thought that it was dishonest and biased for them to do so. The lady say she would relay my question to the proper persons and they would either call me today or contact me by mail. I do not expect this to happen, I think it was either a stall tactic or around the bush way of saying: Get lost or kiss my butt.
