Dr. Durston served in Vietnam with the Marines 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company, and he received the Navy Commendation medal for bravery under combat. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine and has practiced in Sacramento for over 20 years. I live in the shadow of Camp Pendleton and have many opportunities to talk to Marines. Most of them seem so young to me. Many are 15 years younger than my own son and they have been to Iraq for two and three tours of duty. They are soft-spoken, respectful and sad. I look in their eyes and see dark pools of pain that make me wonder what terrible things they have seen. I've never met a Marine here in Oceanside that seemed capable of killing children in cold blood.

ImpeachPAC, a federal PAC funding pro-impeachment candidates for Congress, has announced its first endorsement of a candidate for the Senate, Jean Hay Bright of Maine, who is seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge Republican incumbent Olympia Snowe.

Impeachment was a hot topic in a televised debate between the two Democrats challenging Maine's Republican Senator Olympia Snowe, according to the Kennebec Journal. The candidates are Jean Hay Bright, a Dixmont writer and organic farmer, and Eric Mehnert, an Orono lawyer.

Tim Russert relentlessly grilled Nancy Pelosi to find out if House Democrats would impeach Bush if they win a majority in November. Pelosi did her best to downplay the possibility, but clearly stated the decision will be made by the Democratic Caucus. That makes it essential to elect as many pro-impeachment Democrats as possible! BERKELEY, CA – Concerned about American constitutional democracy, undergraduate, graduate, and law students from across the United States have formed Constitution Summer to urge their representatives to restore the rule of law in the face of massive abuses of power by President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard B. Cheney.

State Legislators in California, Illinois, and Vermont have introduced Resolutions to Impeach George Bush. Inside the Beltway, legislators have been slow to support moves to censure or impeach President Bush and other members of the administration. Only 33 members of the U.S. House of Representatives have signed on as cosponsors of Congressman John Conyers' resolution calling for the creation of a select committee to investigate the administration's preparations for war before receiving congressional authorization, manipulation of pre-war intelligence, encouraging and countenancing of torture, and retaliation against critics such as former Ambassador Joe Wilson, with an eye toward making recommendations regarding grounds for possible impeachment. Only two members of the Senate have agreed to cosponsor Senator Russ Feingold's proposal to censure the president for illegally ordering the warrantless wiretapping of phone conversations of Americans.
